With the realisation that Museums are dynamic media for learning, the Shreyas Museum was created in 1974.

Now, within a short spell of time, it has been placed on the tourist map of India as an important Museum.

The Museum attracts many Indian and foreign students, scholars and art lovers. Tourist coaches regularly carry visitors to it. Rarely do we find Museums which delight young children as much as this Museum does. There are about 6000 objects gathered from 54 States and countries, a complete elephant skeleton (3.19 metres high) coins, interiors of houses, animal caparisons and vehicles, articles for personal, ceremonial and domestic use, tools, weapons, toys, costumes, masks, puppets and musical instruments and other objects made of wood, metal, cloth, leather, clay, etc. These are photographically recorded, documented and displayed. Demonstrations of craftsmen at work are arranged in the Museum from time to time. The Museum has a specific mission also, that of preservation of our heritage. The Museum has been able to highlight the salient features of each country in its environmental backdrop, so as to stimulate the urge to explore avenues of knowledge through travel, reading, discussions and sharing with others. There is also a permanent exhibition 'Kathani', of the fairs and festivals of Shreyas.

With an idea to greater appreciation and understanding between the different regions of India and the World, the Shreyas Foundation has organised Fertivals in Amdavad on the Shreyas Hill, depicting the life and culture of Peoples of many Lands, comprising of an exhibition, dance and drama recitals.

With a sense of wonder, we were promoted to make our Children's Museum. Rarely do we find a museum for the age-group of children 2 to 11+.
